The Founder Release is taking shape in the Hollow.

Our Story

Before there was a Hollow, there was a path.

Brittany started True Path Apothecary in 2017 after leaving a corporate software job she had held for five years. Burnout and a life with too little room beyond work had left her searching for a way back to herself. Making became part of that return: skin and body care, aromatherapy, natural ingredients, essential oils, and the quiet satisfaction of turning an idea into something real.

True Path was both a business and a compass. It carried her through a difficult chapter and helped her grow beyond it. Years later, the demands of another job made it impossible to give the shop what it needed. Its virtual doors closed, and she could see that the business had also drifted from the direction she wanted for it.

The instinct to create never left. In October 2025, she began again—not with a new logo placed over the old idea, but with a world broad enough to hold everything that had accumulated along the way: cosmetic science and product strategy, alchemy and botanicals, technology and handwork, forest shadows and strange details, research and emotion, usefulness and beauty.

True Path spoke from the place of searching. Obsidian Hollow is what she decided to build when the path finally felt like her own.

Today, every product begins with the end user. Ingredients are researched. Bases are selected and customized. Cosmetic peptides are incorporated where they make sense. Scent, texture, application, packaging, and the smallest visual details are considered as parts of one experience. The work is methodical; the result does not have to feel ordinary.

Obsidian Hollow is still becoming. It is part laboratory, part workshop, part sanctuary, and a place for whatever curiosity earns its way onto the bench next.

What we hold to

  • Begin with the person

A product should answer a real need or offer an experience worth returning to.

  • Research before release

Ingredients, actives, compatibility, use, and presentation should be understood—not hidden behind lore.

  • Make the whole object matter

Formula, scent, label, vessel, and packaging belong to the same experience.

  • Keep the claims honest

The atmosphere may be mysterious. The product information should never be.

  • Stay curious

The Hollow has room to change, experiment, learn, and make something no one expected next.
